Mountain Biking Kamloops

For our second day In the ‘Loops we hit Harper Mtn. Broken Head has built up a whole slew of new stuff on Harper. Most of it is moderate height skinnies with six foot airs, and all the older three and four footers have been buffed out. The newest stuff is huge. One booter throw you out twenty feet with at least ten feet of step down. The potential for air is limitless as the mountain drops away in a loonnnnggg tranny. Then there is a double corkscrew ramp, another big step down, and a fifteen foot gap.

For the afternoon we hit up the line off of the front of Lolo. A cold front came in just as we dropped in, making the powerlines overhead hum in the wind. The trail also goes through a huge field of long grass, and with the winds it was blowing all over.

Wild.

Anyway, lots of sick bridges and drops. I finally stepped up and did a bit bigger drop with about an eight footer near the end. Sweet, sweet lines.

Finished the day with a huge chinese feast at the Oriental Gardens in downtown Kamloops, and then back to the Peaks for a hot tub and bed.
