Well well. And I thought that Chip was a good example of the skilled mature rider.
Hah.
George, a computer firmware engineer from Texas showed up today. He’s 62 years old. First time on the Shore. Now, realistically, I was pretty nice to him. We rode the old Bridal Path (A and B) over to the Seymour river via the Bottletop and back. It is one of the easier trails out here but it’s still light years away from Texas flat track. P’as de probleme.
I’m calling my dad. He’s afraid of computers and singletrack. He tells me that ‘old’ guys can’t do either. Happy Father’s Day! Now get off your ass and come riding.
Tomorrow? Maybe the first heli trip of the year. Fingers are crossed.
Oh yeah, last night’s party was a dud. A little rain and everyone goes home. Oh well, maybe we can have the World Cup after party next month or something.
I’m outie.
