Last Ride

“This could be the last ride, this could be the last ride, it may be the last ride, but I don’t know….”

Tell ya what I do know, Mick. It’s bloody cold out today.

Although Dre and Ambrose had to head back yesterday, Wade and Bruno hung around for another day to get some more images and just have a visit.

We were a bit slow in the morning (I think there may have been a bourbon, a scotch, and some beers…),  but we got out for a few hours of work/play in the sun.

Yup, another tough one in the office.

Well, that’s pretty much a wrap on this season.  I might get another ride in, but the way the weather is coming in and the schedule is shaping up, I think some pow shots are on the horizon.  I leave you with this shot of Wade’s ass as he rides off into another sunset.

Thursday Beer Run

Last ride of spring.  Time to get our huck on.  This is about as pure gravity as you can get in the Penticton area.

The trail is in pretty good shape.  A few of the older stunts are broken or have been removed, but the rest are either rebuilt or vastly repaired.  We went through fast enough that I didn’t take any pics until Ivy League.

How’s that for a rock garden?

Sometimes I feel like I’m in a tropical jungle on this trail.

But then you’re right back in the desert.

It being Thursday, we finished on the beach with some brews and a tubular meat feast, thanks to Ogopogo Meats.

Alright, time to bring on summer!

Out With Tourism

Nahhhh…it’s not what you think.   Local video producer and city councillor Andrew Jakubeit was looking for some b-roll footage for various tourism initiatives, so we went out for a morning session.

Found some cactus way higher than I’ve ever noticed it before too.

Not too gnarly for the tourism guys.

Bartel in the house…

Kurt and Andrew figuring out the shots.

Fun times.  You never know where stuff like this ends up, but I’m guessing it’ll be filler during some random golf show on TSN…
