Heli Biking :: Round II

Ding Ding!!!

Here we go again, same Bat Time, same Bat Channel.

I think if anything, today was even more perfect than yesterday. The sky is kind of clear, ya know?

Even though we were a bigger group today (17 riders!) it still seemed like you had it all to yourself at times.

The Lions Back….

Tomas from ScottUSA made it out on this one at the last minute.

I’m not sure who this is. After doing this ride two days in a row on top of over a week of hard riding, I couldn’t retain much info. It was an epic day nonetheless.

Fabien, who is either from Munich or Switzerland. Two days off the plane from Europe and he’s wayyyyy over his head in the BC backcountry. Lucky bastard….

Colin, NSMB.com Freeride Team guy.

Having the best ride of his life….

I think it’s Zedbra from Squamish. Nice nose wheelie by the way.

Barb.

Awesome Rock TwoFer!!!!

Colin and Barb.

The aftermath. Thanks are due to Anthony Thaulad (the tired guy on the right) for making this one happen.

Cheers!

Heli Weekend — Round 1 :: DING!

It just never ends. As you can see, the weather has finally broken. Still a bit damp out, but not enough to stop us riding.

Duh.

The boys from Cowboy Coffee and Dizzy Cycles came out to play today.

Umm, I thought it was all downhill.

This part is.

It’s a bit rugged though.

..and steep.

After a while the fatigue begins to set in.

Soon followed by the delusions.

Ahhhh……………………………..yeah.

The day was not without some snags however. Check out the primo bodge fix with the zip ties.

Mr. James Wilson of Dizzy Cycles gets vertical.

This ride is so much fun, your head will explode.

Thanks to Steve at Cowboy Coffee for the pic.

What they’re looking at.

…and the post ride beers just at sunset.

Another Day, Another Euro

Excuse me, I think I ordered the large cappuccino?

That’s another Swiss guy, Fabien hiding behind his huge coffee there on the right. Actually, those are normal sized cups. It’s just that the Swiss are a tiny people.

We rode up Fromme for today’s ride. Me, George, Fabien, and Tomas.

“You’re making me angry. You wouldn’t like me when I’m angry.”

Fabien on his first North Shore drop. Can you say Max Heart Rate?

Tomas on Upper Oil Can.

George testing out one of the new bridges on Espresso. Excellent trailwork courtesy of the NSMBA.

Fabien on Lower Crippler.

..and seeing as how I haven’t had a classic car pic up in quite some time, have this sweet Jag convertible. What the hey, I’ve had a Brit over at my house all week, it’s only fitting.
