Last Day of the Trip, Apex

Another powder day. Apex had 45cm in three days, but I missed the biggest day.

And the powder hounds were out. The funy thing was that while the stashes were all tracked out, there were entire inbounds runs that were open and untracked. There’s a downhill race coming up, and certain areas are getting hit by the snowguns pretty hard, which makes it difficult to access certain areas. I didn’t cross any ropes though, and every roped off run had an open access point which could be reached by traversing, not even hiking.

Well, maybe a little tree skiing, but that’s still allowed.

This is a day after the dump.

Nice views of the Apex backcountry. A few turns to be had out there.

Gary V., getting in deep.

Another video grab, so its kind of grainy. Actually, he’s on some old avvy debris there. The deep stuff was about 65cm deep and over to his left about 20m. I got it, he didn’t

Then again, he had the big lift day from before, so he wins.

No trips planned for the immediate future, and its pouring rain to the top of everything right now. I’ll try to find some stuff to keep you amused.
