So, which one of these guys….

….do you think is responsible for this:

Yup, that’s what you think it is. Both moist and unclean
It it wasn’t me. Oh no. I actually went for a ride. Funny how no one else felt like it.
We went out to Naramata to do a more XC type of day on a trail called Rusty Muffler.
Here’s a guy who’s name escapes me riding a Surly singlespeed.

This is Maria enjoying some wide open singletrack.

Do you remember that dead elk from way back in April?
Well, he’s feeling much better now.

Here’s Ron and Maria at the 3 Blind Mice lookout.

Pretty….

..artsy fartsy. I know. I’m getting soft.
More stellar scenery.

Happy, happy happy. Everybody happy.

Here’s my first ever flat with tubeless. HUGE chunk of glass through the casing. Bummer. Put a fresh tube in without the use of levers. Sweet. Thank you Mavic and Michelin. Bonus spot to have a flat, eh?

The final mile of trail was along the beach. In some spots the beach kind of disappears and you have to ride right into the lake. If you look closely, you can see the rest of the pack up ahead.

So by the time I got back the rest of the crew was in FULL swing again. We hit Salty’s Beach House for some gourmet repast and boat drinks. It all seemed a bit much for the crew, and before I knew I was once again abandoned.
Now, it’s been some time since I’ve eaten at Salty’s, and I noticed a mjor renovation had taken place. Imagine my surprise when I ventured upstairs after dinner. I thought it would just be more retaurant, but no…..it’s a full on swanky oyster/martini bar with live music and a panoramic view of the lake.
Here’s the reggae band. Check out Johnny Cash on the guitarists shirt.

….and here’s the boys.

Next update….going home.
