Last of the Trousers

That went well, I thought.  Another great evening with the boys.  All sorts of multi sport activities went on, even fireworks.  The only thing we were missing was a trip to a brothel.

…and there we have it.

Not looking like it’s been open for biz in a while though.  Final laps of the trip, and we’re hitting Idaho Peak for some runs on Choices.  Paul keeps getting awesome shots like this:

Meanwhile Brett is asking, “Do these wheels make my ass look fa(s)t?”

Yes Brett…yes they do.

Love the facial expressions.

One more of Matt, and we’re out.

That was a serious throwdown.  Style, speed, amplitude, and panache; this is a record setting trip by which all others shall be judged.  Thanks for setting the bar boys, and I look forward to the next one.

Well, looks like there’s time for one more trip before the lodge shuts down to prepare for winter ops.  Should be another banger.

Trousers to the Left – 3

Whoa…that just happened.

So, it looks like the epic summer of 2013 is not only over, but we have transitioned through fall in record time to start winter in the alpine just a bit too early.

Still, not much better in this world than a powder day at Retallack.

Funny thing though.  I seem to have a lot of friends around for a pow day.

Gord laying down the law. Funny how it seems like a lot of the time the old dogs are the hardest in the crew.

Goose gets shot of the day.

…and House gets all time recognition for slaying pow laps with only a few months of riding under his belt.  Seriously, those are some big cojones there.  The deep Kootenays are not a place for the timid.

Snowline.

OK, make up your own one liner about what fungi’s are on this trip.

And now it’s time for a little shout out to Ryders for making not only the most affordable goggles on the market, but also the best performing.  I couldn’t get them to fog up, not even once.

They were also handy to have on when I was washing bikes.  I’m a desert guy now; I don’t deal with mud well.

In house jack of all trades Matti Barrett shows off his two page spread in this years Bike Photo Annual.  Looks like the cameral really does add ten pounds.

After a hard day of riding, what else is there to do but play some full contact ping pong?

One more day to go on this one.  We’re gonna make the most of it.

Trousers to the Left – 2

Morning came all too soon, and we wer e trying to get a heli lap in.  However…

Yeah, we seem to have run out of good weather.  Ah well, it’s not like it’s that bad of a deal when we miss out on the heli.  You get bonus laps on the lower parts of Powerslave to make you feel better.

The boys look to be OK with that plan.

Bear’s Den was pretty gooey.  I haven’t ridden much of this stuff since moving away from the Shore, but I haven’t lost my touch.

Clap for the Wolfman…

And now for some Photoshop fun and games.

A quieter evening this time around.  Maybe they were actually tired…
