Maybe I Was a Little Premature…

…annnouncing the end of the bike season. After lots of rain inthe high alpine and then sub-zero cold, its time to go biking again.

James (seen below) and Tony from Williams Lake dropped in for a visit. No pics of Tony, he was right on my ass. James was struggling a bit, so he gets his pic on the site.

Yup, dark cold and wet. Just how we like it.

First Day of Whistler

Second day of skiing. I was a little skeptical because the report said 0cms.

Good thing I don’t trust the report.

And, it’s Barb’s birthday all week so me and P-Dub dragged the girl out for a massive ski day.

We did Whistler and Blackcomb and it was deep like you only get at the beginning of the season.

Here’s some shots taken from Blackcomb. Sort of thin on these lower runs, but you get the idea. We were doing full top to bottom runs.

The Birthday Girl.

Last run of the day, just below Cockalorum on Whistler. Mid thigh deep.

Bye Bye Bikes….Hello Skiis

And just like THAT — !

It’s gone.

Got a last Big Eye lap in a few days back. There was enough snow (about 30 cm) to make anything not steep pretty much unrideable.

The bikes wouldn’t even fall over.

Of course, no actual riding shots. Those boys move a little too quick for the camera. Anyway, so Canadian.

This was today. Just up the hill a bit.

That’s one stuck skidoo. I’m off to Whistler with P-Dub at 6:30 am.

In the meantime, BUY MY BIKE.
