Harper Hoe Down

This weekend long event is a celebration of the work that has been done both on the
ground and behind the scenes to make Harper one of the best ‘legit’ riding areas in
Kamloops. The Kamloops Bike Riders Association is inviting our community and regional
friends to come on out for a weekend of good ol’ fashion work, riding and play,
Kamloops style.

This is what to expect . . .

Corn Stars

What the hell kind of title is “Corn Stars,” anyway? Well, these happy kids are more of the HickHuckster variety, being from North Carolina and all, but Gary had these cool socks with a little corn husk and stars on ’em, so there you go.

Natasha (or Stash, as she gets called) is just so damn cute that I can’t think of anything to nickname her anyway.

After flying to Spokane, Gary and Stash drove up to be the first folks to experience the new Bush Pilot HQ. We got this party started right with a lap on Builders Only.

Nothing like jumping into it with both feet, eh?

Once the intimidation factor started to wear off, the kids got some flow going.

Blue skies and warm temps didn’t hurt there.

Plus, with the pair of them being in the National Guard back home, it was easy to give ’em orders. “Soldier! Send it!”

“Yessir! Sending it, sir!”

Ladies Rides – Tuesdays at Freedom

Every Tuesday evening this summer is Ladies Nite at Freedom Bikes in Penticton. These estrogenically oriented rides are just an informal riding session with like minded girlies from the south Okanagan. All skill levels and styles are welcome, with several groups going every week.

Meet at the back of the shop at 5:30. We will be offering shuttles on an infrequent basis throughout the year, and Barb will be leading the downhillers this coming Tuesday, May 29th.

See you there.
