Ruined – Day 6

Absolutely ruined.

We’ll take it easy today then. A couple of mellow big moutnain lines down south oughta do it.

Don’t worry Jim, it doesn’t get steep ’til lap two.

There’s even a bunch of rad skinny log stuff on this one.

Complete with some mid-burl gaps even.

Poews got more into the action with a combo of steep AND skinny.

Well, sort of…

Mongo on a rare bail.

Here’s a reference shot for you to check out the scale.

That’s one of our American pals next. Stash on her last ride with the Banshee (she’s got a Knolly on order).

Gary on his last ride with the VPFree (he’s taking the Banshee).

And now for some killer postcard shots.

Round two and its SNOWING?

WTF is that about? Ah well, TKO is a better trail when it gets a bit of moisture. This sucker is steep, long, loose, and rad. Oh, and just shy of 5000 vertical feet.

Which is a hell of alonng way to walk. It’s easier to ride it….

Alpine to desert in one run. Sweetness.

I guess that snow meant some wind down lower. This trailer park got hit hard in OK Falls, and we found out later that a marina in Kelowna was destroyed by the 75 MPH winds. I guess we’ll be warming up the chainsaws again…

Let me introduce you to the inspiration behind Norco Jim’s new nickname. He shall be known henceforth as “Scabby Jim.”

Asif that wasn’t gross enough, check out the new record on the gas pump. The first $150 fill up. I guess prices at the old Bush Pilot will be going up next year.

Ruined – Day 5

OK, we’ve farted around enough for now. Time for the real goods.

That’s Andrew McIntosh, one of the builders in the Postill zone throwing down on the Ski Jump for the camera.

All the boys were getting a few good hits in here.

Even “What Has Poews Done” dropped a couple of good lines today.

Still, it was ‘Locals Only’ on the big boys lines.

However, there was time for payback a pllenty on the wall. Once Scott got going on this one there was no stopping him.

Jimbo had a few issues at first. It’s a big and intimidating line for sure, but once you get over the fear…

….Giddyup.

We also went for a little inspection lap of a new trail that is apparently just for Cyborgs.

It will be ready for human consumption sometime in 2009.

We finished off with another line called “Technical Difficulty” which incorporates some rad rock lines and a few ramps into a sweet combo of gnar for dessert.
