Still Summer

It’s sure a far cry from last year when we had snow in the hills and cold temps all around.  They say it ain’t over until the fat lady sings, and at this point she’s still in her dressing room getting ready.

With highs around 24C today, Mike D’Antoni put in an appearance to check out the south Okanagan trails.

I think he found them suitable.

Although he did spend an inordinate amount of time pumping up his rear tire.  He’s been on a bit of a trip around BC, so I think it’s just the mileage catching up with him.  But if you’re going to get a flat, odds are it’s gonna be here.  At least the scenery was nice today.

We also found some trails that I’ve heard about but haven’t gotten around to checking out.  This is an older trail in the Mice called Ferngully.  Not sure why they named it that…

I also introduced Mike to another post-ride tradition in the Okanagan.   It’s not quite pizza and beer, but it’ll do**.

**We went for pizza and beer right after this.

Mother’s Devinci Demo Day

Not that my Mom came out to play, but Devinci was in town for Mothers Day and it was a good one.

That’s a lot of Devincis on the roof of the van.

There were a couple of moms in attendance though.  Barb came out to have a lap on a new Troy.

Enough scenery.  On to the action, which is almost all from the course of the 1st BC Enduro next weekend.

Josh (not on a Devinci…) looks ready to rock the junior category.

Barb on her first ride on 650b.

Classic Okanagan butt shot…

Another good’r of Josh dropping in on Slabs.

Paul was just in town for a visit, and sort of fell in to a day of shuttles and test bikes.  Some guys have all the luck.

Of course no day in the Mice is complete without a quick session on the Redemption stepup.

Round two and we took a fast one into Drops a Lot, dragging Devinci tech guy Mitch Forbes along with us.

The flowers are peaking today.   Quite the Mother’s Day bouquet.

A quick finish in the Tsweet Tsu gully…

And the sun sets on this fine day.

Thanks again to Devinci Bikes for coming by.
