A Big Seymour Day

After hitting the wall hard last night, I was ready to charge.

Scott, however, was feeling the effects of Canadian beer.

We hit Seymour hard, riding CBC twice, TNT, Dirty Diapers, Ned’s, Fisherman’s, Corkscrew, a new trail (the Angry Penguin?), Pingu, Boogieman, Baden-Powell, Emergency Exit, Fed Bear/ Dead Bear, and Kelly’s.

Quite the list.

Boombatz on the Gerbil Cage of CBC.

…and on the extension.

Here’s a shot of the gap on Ned’s.

On the second lap we checked out Mark’s new trail. He wants to call it something dirty, like Tossed Salad. I suggested Angry Penguin because it links up to Pingu. This shot is of a teeter-totter with a couple of corners in it. Should be rideable in a week or so.

This trail is going to be sick. A huge wall ride, some crazy step up teeters, and a turntable. Plus a bunch of gaps and drops.

Scott also managed to hit the Piledriver. And smear it. Well, it is traditional to bail on your first time of it, and he’s getting pretty tired after a week of heavy riding.

That’s it, one more day to go.

Santos :: Round II

OK, today was really slippery, even by Shore standards.

The wildlife didn’t sem to care though. I’ve seen more fawns this year than the rest of my life combined.

First round, Cypress. Wild Cherry and the Roach.

The boys at the top of the Cherry.

Round two was the Pre-Reap, Reaper, Paul Hogan, Firehose, and Family Guy.

Here’s Brent on the Pre-Reap rock slab.

OK, so it’s a bit blurry. How often do you get TWO guys falling on their asses in one shot? And they’re not even riding. Check out Edward (on the left). Both his heels are off the ground.

Jason again, on the Firehose wall.

Round 3, back to Seymour. CBC, TNT, Dirty Diapers, and Ned’s.

Brian on Ned’s.

Edward “I’m just going to sit this one out”, on one of the Ned’s ramps.

Brian throwing down a nice gap.

After the ride we hit up the ole Cactus Club for some food ane scenery. Thanks for a fun couple of days. Next year it’s gonna be ten days.

The Return of Santos and Crew

For the third straight year. Eric is my very first paying customer. He’s up on one of Shandro’s camps at Whistler.

This year he brought back with him Brent, Edward, Jason, and new guy Brian.

…and some rain.

A true classic Shore day. Actually, it was raining so hard that it was actually pretty grippy out there.

Brent on CBC.

Brian falling off Pangor.

Edward, on it.

Eric and Edward, lost in the rainforest. Lap two it stopped raing and got slick out. Slip slidin’ away…
