Quick Visit

Had to go back to Vangroovy for the NSMBA Trail Day we were sponsoring, and I was smart enough to bring my bike in for a quick ride.

I happened to run into the same group of guys in a few spots onthe way down, so I snapped a few shots.

As luck would have it, I rode withone of these dudes a couple of years ago on the St. George’s KVR trip.

Which is sort of funny considering that I’m going to be heading out on that trip in a few days.

Last Shore Ride (As A Local)

As if I’d never come back….

Actually, I ended up riding Seymour again on April 1st, but I had to drive all the way from Summerland to do it. Just a tourist now.

I couldn’t do my last loc’s ride with my usual riding buddy, as Wade is in Nepal right now. I’m never at a loss for folks to ride with though, so I hit up the coffee shop for some morning java and it took all of about 40 seconds to hook up a ride with Mike.

We went up to assess the winter’s impact on CBC. It’s in great shape, all things considered. A few trees down and a couple of washouts, but overall it’s dry and clear of snow.

All the major constructions are intact.

Mike is riding some new German bike called a Bionicon. Fully adjutable on the fly geometry. Needs a bit of refinement, but some good potential.

See? There it is.

We also hit up Corkscrew and Boogieman (running into a bunch of Mud Bunnies on the way).

The work on Boogieman turned out great. Now it’s the smooth one while Pangor is just trashed.

Great “last” ride, and a final look in the rear view as I left.

Ahhh, I won’t be gone so long as I can still visit….see you out there soon.

Die Rasenmaher – Day 6

On familiar ground again. Yup, back to Seymour. Gotta love the home turf.

I think Stefan likes it too.

The weather was still cool, but much drier than yesterday, to the point where we could ride skinny stuff.

Rob J. got all twisty on us.

Ralph likes the airtime.

Wicked misty out, makes for classic Seymour shots.

Nadine got her ticket.

Here’s a different angle for you. Most people who ride CBC have no idea that the trailis this high in the air in places.

Down lower we got into Salvation.

Even Peter got into the wall rides.

Stefan continued to rock the blue jeans, even though we weren’t at Whistler anymore.

Ja, Ralph likes the airtime.

So does Stefan.

..and Holger.

oooooh…..airtime shot of the day goes to Martin.

..but shot of hte day has to be one of the following sunset shots of Walter the Austrian.

Cool shots, and getting those killer images probably makes up for me drooling all over his wife (Sabine) all week. Super nice folks, Walter and Sabine. If you ever want to go and ride in Sallbach, they have the best guesthaus in town.
