Band of Brothers – Pt. 2

First I have to wish my parents a Happy Anniversary. They’ve been married for a few hundred years or so now.

And now on to the riding….

Brian Park says “Hi!” to everyone at the NSMB.com forums.

We hit up Arawana today. Jason continued to learn how to ride mountain bikes. Here he is getting a lesson on Bud Height.

Ted was picture perfect under bluebird skies.

There’s some new stuff on Arawana, including a stupidly huge jump they call the Seperator (likely because it will seperate both your shoulders on landing). No pics of it this week, but I’m heading back there soon, so maybe next week. This is Chris on the jump just before it.

Ted gets a road gap. Courtenay isn’t impressed. Keep trying Ted.

Hey Matt, remembering those BMX skills yet?

For dessert we hooked up with Dax for a Rusty Muffler.

It’s a little more country than the other run. Hows the uphill boys?

Some stunts and stuff kept us interested.

Courtenay on another teeter.

We finished up at Hillside winery again, where we managed to offend everyone within hearing distance with foul language and filthy stories.

I guess four bottles of wine at the end of the day will do that to you.

And to finish the day?

Mmmmmmeat.

Band of Brothers

A bunch of guys from the States, mostly related. How will I keepthem under control? Ahhh, the dog will help…..

The trip started a bit slow. There was yet another accident in front of us. We didn’t have to render first aid this time, but we did get to hang out on the highway for a good portion of the night.

I should probably introduce you to another new face around here. Courtenay will be helping out from time to time. She’s seems to be an OK rider….

Here’s Matt on the Peat Bog.

…and here’s Kevin on the same stunt.

Here’s Kevin on the ground.

Jason isn’t related to the rest of them. He’s some kind of foreigner with an unnatural interest in sheep. New Zealand is it?

Courtenay shows us how.

More advice from Courtenay.

Another way to get high in Canada.

Or you could try this way.

Ted on a new stunt on Code 4. Quite a bit of new work on the old trail this year.

Jason again on the road side gap.

Oh, Jason. Is that you? I can see that you’ve never ridden a DH bike before. Yeah….obviously.

Chris throws down a gap. Funny how a little competition between the brothers goes a long way…

The BMX skills look a little rusty there, Matt.

Oh Jason, you’re such an ass….

Rich and Lazy? – Pt 1

Well, I don’t kow if that describes any of us, but you can always join the debate at NSMB.com if youre interested.

Yup, first heli drop of the year. A little celebration. You know, the full moon in June, a couple of birthdays, an engagement.

What do I really care? I’m just happy that’s my bike in the sling there.

The weather was really decent, too. It was raining in Vancouver, hailing in Whistler, and we had mostly sunny skies.

Well, it couded over from time to time, nad there was a really brief sprinkle of rain at one point, but nothing serious.

The best part was the 20′ of snow on the ground.

Once you got he hang of it you could wail down anything, so we hit some lines that are essentially cliffs when the snow is gone.

Harley even came out, which is awsome since she’s 12 years old now. I thought for sure this would be her last time up there, but she did just fine.

Roy looks pretty gripped here.

One of the Queebs (thats slang for Quebecois for you foreign types).

It’s big terrain.

Totally unrideable without snow, massively fun with. I somehow pulled a couple of hundred feet down one of those pitches with BOTH wheels locked up.

So many pics, I gotta split the post up. Here, watch Wade eat for a bit….
