Happy July 4th!

What a rousing way to start the American hoilday. A Tour stage with an American in yellow, and Hendrix ripping up the anthem.

And a houseful of ‘Mericans to boot.

Alright, time to get into the big stuff. Today we go to Fromme. I know Jimmie has been thinking about Diggers Cliff all year. Let’s see how he did, shall we?

That seemed to inspire the rest of the crew today. I think we pretty much cleaned Upper Oil Can today. Everybody really got off on Big Smooth.

Old Pete has been doing lots of patchup work too. The entrances to all the big stuff are getting really nice and it helps in keeping a good flow going.

Jimmie is at it again.

Barb had to make sure that she got a round in too. Ryan chased Jimmie off the drop with a headcam and got a sweet shot. When he gets that to me I’ll put it up.

After this the camera died, so I put it away for 7th and Espresso.

And the late run on Seymour.

Big, big day.

3rd Day — Same German

How about Fromme then?

Sure, whatever you say.

We’ll warm up on Upper OilCan.

Then we’ll go up and do 7th, because I haven’t ridden it in years. Nice work onthe trail. Thanks and respect to Peter Morin for doing such a good job out there this winter. It’s epic right now.

Then we went down to Espresso and Lower Crippler and the Bear for pints and burgers.

Stefan pretty much landed on me on this pic. He couldn’t hold the line and bailed out right on top of me. I got the shot at least.

After a little break, it was time for the weekly Cove Club ride.

Christian and Andreas — Day 2

Fromme today. Yesterday pretty much destroyed the boys, so what better way to get on top of it than riding Fromme in the rain?

Skog’s and Colin from Toss were also out. We started off with a look at the Circus, then wussed out and hit Upper Oil Can. Here’s Colin on the big skinny rolldown near the top.

Christian was riding super strong. Here he is on Big Smooth, no problems at all…..

Of course, that didn’t last. We went over to Air Supply where he promptly 50/50’d the tranny on the last big one. You know, the longest one? Anyway, a broken rear shock was the only casualty….well, that and Christians’ nuts.

Andreas stepped it up too. Here he’s about to bottom his forks out on the Starfish.

And another bridge, and we’re done.

Steve at Bean Around the World gets the big shout out for selling his spare Romic to Christian and keeping the ride alive.
