Groundhog Day

Well, maybe a couple of days late. It was cloudy and rainy all week though, so I guess that means winter is supposed to be over.

Yeah, right.

At any rate, the first tourist of the year rolled in today. The Deaner, from the “other” Deep Cove (the one on Vancouver Island), wanted to try the big stuff. In February.

Oh yeah, there was snow up there today. The first seasonal day in a month, and we’re riding the Circus, Jerry Rig, the starfish, and Boundary. What a day. I stunk the place out on a borrowed bike but Dean did pretty good…….

….for a 16 year old.

Classic shore day though. The top of the Expressway on the way to the Lobotomizer..

Gettin’ ready to go….

Lobotomized.

The Rig, and was slicccckkkkkkkk today.

Sideshow.

Lower Boundary.

I haven’t ridden Boundary or Starfish in I don’t know how long. I’ll be going back pretty soon too. Unreal how buffed out the trails on Fromme are. Even with torrential monsoon rains, the trails are as good as I’ve ever seen them.

…and a little DJ sesh to finish the day.

Seymour shuttles tomorrow.

Another Day, Another Euro

Excuse me, I think I ordered the large cappuccino?

That’s another Swiss guy, Fabien hiding behind his huge coffee there on the right. Actually, those are normal sized cups. It’s just that the Swiss are a tiny people.

We rode up Fromme for today’s ride. Me, George, Fabien, and Tomas.

“You’re making me angry. You wouldn’t like me when I’m angry.”

Fabien on his first North Shore drop. Can you say Max Heart Rate?

Tomas on Upper Oil Can.

George testing out one of the new bridges on Espresso. Excellent trailwork courtesy of the NSMBA.

Fabien on Lower Crippler.

..and seeing as how I haven’t had a classic car pic up in quite some time, have this sweet Jag convertible. What the hey, I’ve had a Brit over at my house all week, it’s only fitting.
