Harper Heaven

It really is a favourite. So much flow.

Last night we had tons of dry lightning. Luckily we didn’t catch fire, but there was so much smoke in the air today we could hardly see the ‘Loops.

Here’s the breakfast scene.

A quick walk to the top of the mountain helped clear the hangover.

On to the bridges.

Trask goes off.

As usual, Barb ruled it.

“Hey there, little dude!”

O’Dea continued to step it up on the skinnies.

Hi-Ho!

Trask again. What you can’t see are the three huge flails on the approach to this shot.

Lap two got a bit more serious.

There’s a bunch of these hits in a row.

O’Dea spirals in.

What was that?

Oh, THIS…

The Orangepicker Tour (or what’s left of it)

…because only Scott managed to stay healthy enough to make it. Luckily I found a guy from Israel (Erez) who rounded out the numbers enough to make it possible to have a bit of a road trip.

Marble Canyon on the way to the ‘Loops.

The first day we rode Rose Hill with the crew from Freeride Tours. NO pics, just lots of ripping.

We spent the night camped out at Harper Mtn. with some nice Swiss folks. Here’s Rolf on Harper, dropping a rock line.

Rolf again on the Bridge to Nowhere.

…and again at the end of the same stunt.

Erez on a skinny.

Boombatz (Scott) on wheelie drop.

For the second lap we said goodbye to the Swiss (thanks for the shuttles, Danny) and hit up the big stuff.

Scott on a stepdown off of a bridge.

A bigger stepdown.

A BIGGER stepdown.

The double spiral ramp on Harper.

Erez on the outside line.

Yet another stepdown.

After that it was time for a swim and the drive to El Rancho Relaxo.

Harper Hucks

We left the Puddle early, but not before another round of dock jumps and stupidity.

Martin had to have his picture taken where the Bourdon/Kona ad was shot.

Our destination was Harper Mountain, outside of Kamloops. Harper is for hucking.

We got to the big stuff right at sunset.

..and once again Chaos gets photo of the day.

Finish with drunken rugby songs around the campfire…

…..and I’m spent.
