CycleActive XC Tour — Day V

Another day, another mountain to climb. This time it’s Harper, and it’s a solid climb. At least the vbiews are the usual stellar quality.

Again, but in colour this time.

Harper is a really cool place to ride, and it doesn’t matter if you’re a free dogger or an xc purist. There’s something there for everyone. Of course, there’s also lots of stunts if youre so inclined. Craig got inclined.

Clinton showed us how to ride in a straight line.

Barry continued his assessment of the BC bridgework.

Craig continued his inclinations.

Paul got into the action too.

Decisions, decisions….

AAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! It’s after me!

Oh never mind. Here’s Kick Ass Kate on a high skinny bridge. Don’t mess with the barrister. She’s pretty tough.

Em’s had a moderatley tough day, but got it together for this ramp.

Awwww…look at the tired little guide. I’ll get you for this.

German Freeride — Day VIII

It’s the last day with Germans for me, as I’ve got to go and get ready for the Wade Simmons Freeride Experience. So, today we will ride Harper Mtn. with the lovely Carly from Full Boar and then drive off into the sunset towards Whistler, where I will drop the guys and take on a bunch of fresh meat—uhhh, I mean new clients.

In the meantime, the crew were stomping everything in sight.

Skinnyman was hitting ten foot drops on that little XC bike of his. I wonder if this voids the warranty? Never mind, it’s second hand anyway.

Poor little thing. Hubertus was also riding in top form. The demons of earlier in the week were fully exorcised. Thanks for the bottle, H. I’ll be putting it to good use.

Holy…look at that huge guy fly.

Ho hum, David is nailing everthing in sight.

So, as we see wave a fond farewell to the back side of hte german crew, it’s already time to look forward to riding with Wade and a mixed crew of world travellers over the next ten days.

Thanks to Phil for putting htis trip together, and to Tim at Huckwagon for keeping them outta trouble on the Shore for me.

Mike & Kirstie — Part IV

Good ole Harper Mtn. The ramp sort of sums it up really…

A great place to ramp up the skills —hehe heheh— getit?

Things got a bit Helter Skelter later on…..

..and Kirstie did it!!(this will be a lot more amazing to our British friends who know Kirstie and her paranoid fear of anything high up and/or made of wood).

After a bit of a break, we went over to Rose for a run. Same old same old over there, but really stinking hot today. Mike got the difing board dialled, but Kirstie was a bit spent from her breakthroughs earlier in the day.

Yup, classic Kamloops summer.
