Trail Day — Pangor

Yup, another one. Sorry I’m late with the post. I’m a slacker.

Not like these guys…look at them dig.

Must have been all that coffee that Bean Around the World poured into them in the morning.

Well, and this gas powered winch helped. That’s anew move I like to call a “Skrinny” or a Sketchy Rock Skinny…

Ooops. Ran outta gas. Let’s see what’s for lunch then.

Ahhh. Burgers, dogs, and salmon from Schneiders, the Cove, and of course Barb (and the Crab Shack helped out too).

Dave from Dave’s on Esplanade came by to help cook. He has no website. Just drop in, under the theatres near Lonsdale Quay.

Alright enough plugging of the sponsors (also .243 Racing, Hoots, and the mighty NSMBA), more digging, less eating.

NIce jump, oh wait, its a berm.

No really, it IS a berm.

Seems like its getting late, better just work harder. You guys look like you’re slacking off a bit.

Just in time for first tracks.

…and second tracks.

Some video HERE of the berm. It’s not a jump.

Trail Day — Seymour

Rebuilt quite a bit of Corkscrew and Salvation this past Sunday. A great time was had by all. Gotta hand it to Barb, she sure knows how to throw a good trail day. Kudos to Schneiders Meats, IGA, Central City Brewing, The Raven Pub, Bean Around the World, Cove Bikes, and of course…….me.

It was good to see Chaz out there working in the mud like…well like no other shop owners I’ve seen in a while.

It was a pretty gloomy day, but lots of folks came out.

Around 60 people for lunch, which was salmon, hamburgers, and hot dogs. Oh, and a bit of suds if you knew where to look.

Big rocks need many supervisors.

Big ramps need big rocks ot hold them in place.

“No no, there’s not enough flow that way. Stand back ten feet and straighten it out….”

Good to see the union boys putting in their time too.

Wildlife shot.

There ya go little fella, you’re safe now.

Ned’s Trail Day

Holy, lots of people showed up on a wet day to make mud. I, of course, was late due to a bit of a bender the night before. Lots of Keith’s IPA and Scotch.

Uhhhhhhhhh……

Here’s PD (background) and some guy building a berm into a stepdown just before the bridge across Enigma Ck.

A bit of paving I got into a wee bit further down.

..and that savage little dog of mine. She hardly bit anyone today. A little drainage work in the foreground there.
