Cove Trail Day :: Sunday, June 6th

Before I talk about last weeks trailday (besides, it’s just a repost from the Cove Bikes site), you might want to check out the trashing I got over at FARKIN, an Aussie bike forum. The thread can be found HERE. It’s in response to another thread over at NSMB.com, which can be read HERE.

Yes sir, I am a tool. Ok, on to last week’s trail day.

It was a roaring success. Nearly 60 people were in attendance for the work party on CBC sponsored by Cove Bikes and organized by Cove team rider Barb Haley.

Please, remember to support your local trail association. The NSMBA needs you. Traildays are on going all summer, and your contribution is necessary to keep the trails open.

Many new faces were in attendance. Good to see the future of the sport represented.

The top several hundred meters were re-worked to help alleviate drainage and erosion problems. Several features were also enhanced to give riders a little extra lift when riding CBC.

…and here’s a little clip of the finished trail.

NSMBA Trail Day on Seymour

Leandro got here a couple of days before the Germans, and I did the usual treatment I give to people that just got off a 20 hour plane ride from South America. We went riding.

Here’s Leandro on his first log ride on Seymour.

Here are the results:

Leandro has four photo stores back in Brazil. Check them HERE.

Anyway, I think it was an eye opener for him. The next day we hooked up with some of the On Top crew for some Cypress shuttles. Drew something-or-other pro snowboarder guy was charging hard.

Right click HERE and save for a cool little video clip.

There were also a few mis placed Aussies trying to figure it all out. Light was sketchy, and it was actually wet in there.

Unreal.

Here’s the parking lot mist — haven’t seen this in a while.

Couldn’t even get any decent shots it was so dark. And the Konica I tried out hee was a piece of crap. Still, some artsy fartsy renditions of the Shore for you to peruse.

Cool little teeters and some nice jumps. Cypress is awesome.

Gotta go, just had a trail day with the NSMBA and I am completely thrashed.
