Kobau Cruising

Or “How Tired I Felt After Hammering the Peat Bog All Day Yesterday.”

Funny how tired we all felt after spending a couple of days at…

Oh God. We have to do this again?

I noticed that the crew over at PureMTB.com were wondering what happened to all the carnage shots.

Well, here you go.

Actually, everybody pulled out a good one today. FunBobby pops some wood.

I did too, only bigger.

Round log, sketchy teeter totter, and FLEXING BICEPS.

Eric keeps it upright (I think it’s Eric).

Trask getting a little “Head” on the Head Drop.

Barb gets her share.

Eric reverting to form.

Back in the open again.

A bit of rain made a huge difference to the dust. The clay was unbelievably grippy. Gary couldn’t quite get over how hard you could corner in it.

Some trail hazards here are unlike anywhere else in Canada.

Another epic sunset at the pub at the end of the ride.

…And the traditional passed out in the smelly van shot.

Of Squirrels and Men

Back at the Peat Bog.

Time to get things warmed up.

Code 4 booter to flat. Go FunBobby!

Calvin’s in there too.

Gary dropping in with confidence.

King, master of his domain.

Trask, puffin’ up the pipes for the camera.

King inspecting the ghetto styles of Emergency Exit.

Uh. ye-e-e-e-a-a-a-a-a-ah–h—h—–h.

Or, put another way.

Thanks to FunBobby and Squirrel for making that possible.

OK, back to riding. Or hucking it. Go on Barb. Make all the big strong boys feel dumb. It’s good for business. They love it….really.

Blair Witch style.

Barb again.

More Blair Witch.

Flex it out buddy.

OK Barb, you can hit it bigger if you want. I left out Kings crash here because it’s jsut so much more impressive on video, and you will have to wait until Gary gets that posted on his site first.

And another epic sunset on the beach to round things out.

El Rancho Relaxo

Ahhh, back to Penticton (or Penickton for all you HIckHucksters reading this).

Scott gets warmed up on the teeter at the top of the Peat Bog.

The Emergency Exit log on Code 4.

I’m gonna do a no-hander! Oh wait, I’m gonna case this thing…

Scott on the infamous Gully Gap. It’s about a 35 footer off of a tiny little pile of dust.

For round two we hooked up with some kid from Edmonton. Sorry dude, I forgot your name. Nice guy, good rider. We did Knuckleduster for the second round.

Scott on a ramp.

The Knuckleduster Skybridge drop.

Da boyz.

Da carnage.
