Air, I Wanna (Arawana)

How can every day be so epic. Especially when you get so tired.

So very tired.

The crack of noon freeriding team…

Stewie on the log that broke Emandem’s foot.

Actually, he didn’t make it that far on the log. Or even this far….

More Gadget Lags.

If a man rides a tree in the forest and no one is there, will anyone notice?

Everyone pushed it up a notch for this one. Here’s Mark on a little gapper.

OK, now to the big stuff. Yours truly, wood to wood. I had to put it up because this hit has been buggin’ me for three years. Feels so good to step up. Thanks for getting the pic, Llew.

Glen, going big.

Barb, going bigger.

Another casualty. Mark was OK but his bike took one on the nose. The injured Emandem lent him his bike for the rest of the ride. Whattaniceguyeh?

Another big move was a gap across a barbwire fence to platform to drop. Here’s Glen on takeoff.

….and ride right to the lake where the cold ones are waiting.

OK then. Not bad for a rest day.

Who Could Imagine…..

….that they would Freak Out?

In Penticton? (Pen-pen-pen-pen-pen-pen-pen-pen-pen-pen-pen-pen-pen-pen-pen-pen-pen…..)

Huge day.

Absolutely epic.

Ladies and Gentlemen, present you with 3 runs of the Peat Bog.

Go go Gadget Legs.

Stouph, expressing his sensitivity through fashion.

Paul, gettin rad.

Jedi on Emergency Exit.

Martin on the double teeter.

More homoerotic type shenanigans.

Way-y-y-y up there.

Stouph, seconds before a quadruple flat fest.

Dropping!

Now for the Knuckleduster SkyBridge Gap. Finally, a half decent shot of yours truly.

Gnarly Bird gapping my girlfriend.

Yep, they’re real. Both of them (pssst! Down here!)

For the last run, a full top to bottom down Ellis Canyon.

Right to the beach.

..and another shitty day in Paradise comes to a close.

The Day After

The day after the rain that is. 65 mm of rain in a day.

In Penticton.

That’s the second time this year already. I don’t think I’ve seen that much rain in all the years I’ve been going there, combined.

But our tents held up so no worries, eh?

Didn’t bother Sin much, either. Here he is hitting up a little booter.

Lot’s of nice rock ledges in Penticton. We went back for a repeat run on Code 4 now that the crew was getting more familiar.

Noz drops in.

Chizzer figuring it out…

For round 2 we hit up the Ellis Canyon Trail. A bit of dessert after a hard day of hucking.

The boys checking out the big cliffs.

Postcard shot.

Noz, looking up.

Koji the Wildman.

..and yours truly hangin’ it out.
