More Touring

THAT’S gonna cost you.

At least a case of beer there.  Even worse when you’re the head of ski patrol, right Paul?

Well, that was my morning.  After noon, I went for a fast lap out of bounds with Julie.

She was a bit nervous about heading out on a big ski trip that included Roger’s Pass, so she asked if I could go out for some runs with her and help her find her groove.

I think she’ll be OK.

Our apres ski scene, in another blizzard.

…and 15 minutes later, it’s clear and we’re scoping our lines from earlier in the day.

I love this place.

Not A Sunny Day

It might look like it, but this was about the only clear sky we’ve seen in a couple of weeks.

It lasted all of about 10 minutes, just long enough for me to snap these shots of Dennis tele-ing up a storm.

Just to make you feel worse, he’s retired.   Because he’s old enough to .

Rad.

Howlin’ With the Howdens

It keeps coming down.  Yesterday’s tracks have filled in, and I’m back over on Secondary with some other members from the ski club.

That’s Alex dropping in to Top Gun, and it’s sliding pretty good about a foot deep.

We had to take it a little bit easy, but Alex and Nancy are used to Mt. Baker terrain and snow, so this is a cakewalk for them.

Here’s some more shots of Nancy, gettin’ ‘er dun.

35 minute round trips off the chair.  Apex sucks.  Tell your friends.
