Puddle Peel Out – 2

Well, well, well.  Look what the cat dragged in.  That looks like one Brant Lyon to me.  thanks for bringing some nice weather, dude.

Yes…yes we are.   Erryday.

I was very, very busy today shuttling racers up to the top of Fox for their runs.  I lost count, but at least 12 laps.  And I didn’t get to ride any of them.  I did, however, manage to royally tick off a local.  She spat on my truck…see?

She was SO mad, I initially thought she was someone I knew taking the piss.  Turns out, nope.  Road rage is alive and well in the Cariboo.  I was turning around, but I guess not fast enough for some.  It’s not her fault.  Her trailer has been outgassing for years, and the fumes have finally taken their toll.

No worries.  At least Nelly wasn’t late for her winning run.  Here she is getting her medal.

Then it was time for the jump jam, judged by the all star Peanut Gallery of Red Shred, James Doerfling, and Ian Hylands.  I saw various scores held up like ‘6’, ‘B’, and ’Play some AC/DC’.

The next two are guys tossing up some 3’s. They are NOT going backwards.

At least I got done early enough to crack off a lap on Master’s new trail, Backdoor.  Yes, I rode Chris’s Backdoor.  Don’t judge me, it was fun.

This is Gustav on one of the signature moves.

Oh, and our old pal Super T too.

It’s great to see Super T any time.  I think Aja agrees.  She seemed pretty stoked on the high level of “man candy” in the Puddle.

Mark’s been doing some reno’s this winter.  The little cabin now has a better view, and the rotten parts are being replaced.   That little cabin is getting close to being 100 years old, and it’s going strong.

OK now Chevy, finish your Guinness and we’ll go riding.

The Knolly boys were in town for more abuse.

Noel kind of let me down though.  Last year he managed to entertain us all with some SPECTACULAR crashes, but this year all he did was ride competently.  Boooooooooringggggggggggggg…………..

Even Brian, the new guy, didn’t put on much show.  Dang high end mountain bikes….making the trails too easy for everyone.

For a weekend that had a dismal forecast, it’s sure sunny and warm out there.  Maybe tomorrow we’ll get snow….

Someone is getting pretty close to riding a bike…..

Oh, and she does NOT want to wait until she grows into it.  Chevy wants to ride now.

Maybe by mid-summer. For now she’ll have to be happy playing with some cardboard.

It’s the annual 4:20 trip to Williams Lake, and it’s looking good for tomorrow.  Stay tuned…..
