Coast Trip

Back to the old ‘hood for a visit, and who do I run into right away?

Yep, some of the old hoods.

Dan, Chaz, the Steves, and Kristian.  Oh, and the streak is still alive.  Once again, I rode a new trail on Seymour.

I could tell you where it is, but then I’d have to kill you, and that’s just not good for business.

WhistGnar Trip – Day 3

Ok, it’s time to get outta here. But not before we say “howdy, y’all!” to Wyld Willy. I had a quick visit and got all styled out with some fresh Spectrum Techwear goodies.

As it was raining, we made the call to hit the Shore on the way home. My first ride there in about a year.

Some things, like CBC, never change. For those of you wondering, CBC is unofficially open. There is no snow, and it’s in really good condition right now.

The Kelowna locs did all right too. This sure ain’t no desert, yo.

Of course, it’s pretty hard to not have a good time on a Ned’s lap.

Our new pal Andrew Mitchell (hyper fast Cove Bikes racer boy) shows us how to nose manual. Sorry about the blurs, I’m trying out a new camera.

Justin hurt his knee at Whistler, and so got to enjoy a day of driving the van down Seymour. Hey Justin, got your ticket?

Three laps of Seymour put the rest of the crew down for the count. That was a seriously rad weekend. Looks like it’s gonna be a semi-annual. I think we’ll have to go back in early October or something.

Sylvester & Friends – Day 3

Each day better than the last, eh? You can’t NOT go to the Shore, so here we are….

After Pemby and Squampton, the Shore is EASY.

As always, Dan is along for the ride, and making us all look like chumps.

Well, not quite all of us. Richard (or is that Dave?) was charging lots of lines today.

Big wood, anyone?

OK, some gratuitous Millemium Log shots. I know, you’ve seen these angle bfore, but they don’t really get old, do they?

Further down we sessioned Salvation.

Showoff…

Tis is where things got weird. Kris Holm and a pack of uni-tards were out on Pangor, and few of them could actually ride.

See, this line is kind of tricky on two wheels.

Well, it took a couple of these guys to get 2 wheels down that one. Note the gap….

Meh…whatever. It’s still the MTB equivalent of a fat chick. Might be fun to ride, but not around friends….

2nd lap we got off the beaten path for a Dales/Aftertaste run. Still a classic…..

Aftertaste had a few surprises for us. This is a new line near the end, 2 huge linked rock faces with not quite enough room to stop in between. I think the steeps of the past couple of days must have made an impression, because Dave killed this line.

A great couple of days riding with some nice folks. I think they may be back…..

Now I have a four hour drive to my house, which sounds like it may have been invaded in my absence.
