Penticton Trail Building

After some recent comments on the Smoke Room, I realized it’s high time someone went and did something about the sad state of affairs down on the Peat Bog.  So instead of trying to rally the troops I just strapped on the 100 lb pack and went down and buffed out the old Bog by myself.

It’s back to stock original if you’re around Penticton.  In the process, I ran into some old TOPSOG riders that were building some new eyesores near the bottom.  Here’s a shot of Troy on the old Emergency Exit log:

This would be the new Sundowner Drop they built.

If flat landings, blind exits, and ugly woodwork are your thing, welcome to the Old School!

Powers Creek Trail Day

Time to buff out those trails.  And with the first rain in weeks, it’s looking good to build out there.

Dan, you thought you’d gotten out of the club scene didn’t you (he used to be the President of the NSMBA)?

Nothing major got built today, but almost the entire trail of Builder’s Only got smoothed out and buffed.

Justin, Rich, and a few others also went out to 2.5 and cleared a ton of deadfall from the winter.

The rest of us moved huge rocks around and filled in all the holes.

The crew at Outbound kept us fed and watched the bikes so we could rip.

Can’t do this on the Shore either…

Wildlife sighting, one small purple dinosaur at the bottom of the mountain.  Those things are endangered, eh?
