Thursday Beer Run

Last ride of spring.  Time to get our huck on.  This is about as pure gravity as you can get in the Penticton area.

The trail is in pretty good shape.  A few of the older stunts are broken or have been removed, but the rest are either rebuilt or vastly repaired.  We went through fast enough that I didn’t take any pics until Ivy League.

How’s that for a rock garden?

Sometimes I feel like I’m in a tropical jungle on this trail.

But then you’re right back in the desert.

It being Thursday, we finished on the beach with some brews and a tubular meat feast, thanks to Ogopogo Meats.

Alright, time to bring on summer!

Youth Ride #7

Whoa…. A little bit of sun and a teacher’s strike, and we’ve got a good turnout.  13 youths and 5 grownups…and a creek.

That actually seems like a good way to teach people to look ahead and leave room, doesn’t it?

Speaking of which, look out for that tree Mason!

Not everyone had a problem there.

A stellar evening again in the Okangan. We got lots of postcard shots tonight, especially lower down on Southern Dancer.

Can’t miss the jump sesh at the end though, so we backtracked a little and got a final run on the step-up.

Which meant that I was at the top for sunset, and home by 10:30.

Ride, eat, sleep, repeat…

Kobau is Clear

It’s been a slow year for trail work for me.  Just one of those years when time is against you for getting out there.  Made up for it today by getting out to TKO with Dave and a big saw.

Finally, that beast is clear.  It’s been about 8 years since it looked like this.

I was sort of wondering why everyone was pulled over on the drive home, though. Then I checked my rear view mirror…
