Triplog

Out of date trip info, but here for historical reasons

Shop Ride

Gotta switch it up a bit on Thursdays.  We’ve been kind of ignoring the gnarlier lines in favour of enduro style training, so we thought we’d ramp it up a bit this week and bring out the bigger bikes.

Whatcha doing over there Dave?  Scared?

A little warmup on Eagle before we go to check on the Giggling Donkey.

Yup, it’s all OK.  Although we all kind of punked out on the first roll in.  Admittedly, it does need a bit more dirt (or maybe concrete), but it’s not that bad.  We’re just out of practice.  The Night Stocker line is still exciting enough.  I’ll see if I can get out for a bit of dirt throwing on Monday maybe.

Nice work on reshaping that berm, Travis.  It’s way faster now.

Summer is pretty much here.  Time to start finishing the rides on the beach.  Not only our first post ride BBQ, but also my first swim in the lake this year.

Tubular meats on the beach!  Where’s Chuck D!?

Youth Ride #5 – Bonus Storm Pics!

Bonus CRAZY storm pics…

I’m pretty sure that would have been a tornado if it was flat here.  Yet another reason to love the mountains.

Alright, another youth ride.  This time with rain.  This guy is named Saul (Sol…get it?).  Oh the irony…

Mason doing a drift test on some of the rock.  We did an extra long line tonight trying to keep things low angle.  Unlike riding on the coast, the rock here gets really slick in the rain.

You kind of have to experience to see what I mean.

OK, it was another great lap.   We now finish off with a session on the Redemption Stepup, as is tradition.

Rollin’ on 24s in that last one.  June is the best riding month of the year in the Interior.  Time to drop a gear and pin it!

Out With Tourism

Nahhhh…it’s not what you think.   Local video producer and city councillor Andrew Jakubeit was looking for some b-roll footage for various tourism initiatives, so we went out for a morning session.

Found some cactus way higher than I’ve ever noticed it before too.

Not too gnarly for the tourism guys.

Bartel in the house…

Kurt and Andrew figuring out the shots.

Fun times.  You never know where stuff like this ends up, but I’m guessing it’ll be filler during some random golf show on TSN…
