Arawana

Well, we seem to be having some van troubles. Got a new battery last night, maybe that’s all it was.

This little guy seemed to be having more troubles. No water for miles.

Scott continues his dominance of the big gaps of the BC interior. Here he is on Bud Height. Today was tough. We were really tired and the mercury hit 39 C. That’s about 103 for you southern types.

..and a little wooden berm.

OK. So it wasn’t the battery. Had to stop at Canadian Tire for a new alternator. The van completely died in the parking lot. At least we got a new one installed in under an hour. Do you believe it? Some days you get the good with the bad.

On to the Shore…

El Rancho Relaxo

Ahhh, back to Penticton (or Penickton for all you HIckHucksters reading this).

Scott gets warmed up on the teeter at the top of the Peat Bog.

The Emergency Exit log on Code 4.

I’m gonna do a no-hander! Oh wait, I’m gonna case this thing…

Scott on the infamous Gully Gap. It’s about a 35 footer off of a tiny little pile of dust.

For round two we hooked up with some kid from Edmonton. Sorry dude, I forgot your name. Nice guy, good rider. We did Knuckleduster for the second round.

Scott on a ramp.

The Knuckleduster Skybridge drop.

Da boyz.

Da carnage.

The Orangepicker Tour (or what’s left of it)

…because only Scott managed to stay healthy enough to make it. Luckily I found a guy from Israel (Erez) who rounded out the numbers enough to make it possible to have a bit of a road trip.

Marble Canyon on the way to the ‘Loops.

The first day we rode Rose Hill with the crew from Freeride Tours. NO pics, just lots of ripping.

We spent the night camped out at Harper Mtn. with some nice Swiss folks. Here’s Rolf on Harper, dropping a rock line.

Rolf again on the Bridge to Nowhere.

…and again at the end of the same stunt.

Erez on a skinny.

Boombatz (Scott) on wheelie drop.

For the second lap we said goodbye to the Swiss (thanks for the shuttles, Danny) and hit up the big stuff.

Scott on a stepdown off of a bridge.

A bigger stepdown.

A BIGGER stepdown.

The double spiral ramp on Harper.

Erez on the outside line.

Yet another stepdown.

After that it was time for a swim and the drive to El Rancho Relaxo.
