Easter weekend

Before we get to Sunday, have a look at this. It’s an action shot of that elk from Saturday’s ride.

Use the space bar to play or pause.

On Sunday we got into some more freeride action. Here’s Callum deciding that he really likes the G-Spot suspension.

A scenic view of Barb and the old fire in the canyon.

Finally, a panorama of the canyon. If you look closely on the left you can see Barb and Christian under the clilffs.

Easter Weekend, 1st Trip of 2004

Presenting Callum from the UK and Christian from Ecuador. Also our first Ecuadorian. Very cosmopolitan, this Bush Pilot experience.

I have to give a huge shout out to ChroMag Bikes for their awesome frames. Ian has no idea that I’ve been shredding it up on their bike lately, but I gotta say that it’s a good’un. I’ll be posting some gushing, unsolicited testimonials on the forums soon. If you believe in the power of steel, give the ChroMag a look.

Here’s a shot of one.

That’s the top of the tripod trail in the sunny Okanagan. Easter in Canada. 28 degrees Celsius, or about 80 in the old scale. Who knew?

Here’s another ChroMag style shot.

Apparently the local elk population likes to expire on bike trails.

Anyway, here’s another shot of the top of the Tripod trail. You can see the Cathedral and Pasayten ranges on the horizon.

Here you can see how pristine the riding is. This was more of an intro day, as Callum and Christian are both rookies as far as Canadian mountain biking is concerned.

More dead elk. This one seems to have had some help from a .45 caliber. Rednecks suck. At least have the decency to eat what you poach.

Barb showing her XC side.

Here’s Christian picking up some log riding skills.

…and Callum shoming a bit of leg.

This is me. Can’t you tell?

Oh yeah, it was Show’N’Shine in Penticton. Here’s two of my faves.

Another artsy-fartsy ChroMag shot.

Check the detail out.

Round two was a canyon descent. We were running late, so we didn’t take too many shots. This should give you the gist of it.

More stuff to come.

The Season Begins…..

…And I am so off the back on updates. What can I say? I’ve been busy.

I had the first customer of the year back on the 3rd. Simon showed up for a clinic, but of course I didn’t bring the camera. I didn’t want to scare him off early, right?

I also had a couple of couch surfers. Josh and John showed up from Colorado Springs and we took pity on them. They just happened to show up during the best run of spring weather Vancouver has ever had. Feels pretty much like summer out there.

Here’s the pics.

…and a classic picture of yours truly. Never do see my face in the pics, do ya?

I’ve got the Easter road trip update tomorrow, and we are off to Williams Lake this weekend. Keep on keepin’ on….
