Chocolate Feet – Day 7

A new zone for us today. I’ve never ridden Postill, so today would be the day.

There’s a lot of interesting stuff on this trail. Like this little wall ride….

Another random brit (Alex) showed up to show us all up today. He’s on a bit of a mission.

Mike took advantage of hitting the wallride early to try these antlers on for size.

Alex again, hangin’ out.

Of course, there’s more than just some walls on Addiction, so here’s the Deaner stepping one down.

BMX start for lap 2.

Matt gettin’ his gap on.

A random local getting some hangtime.

New guy Alex, loving life on the XC kit.

Todays random wildlife shot is a hummingbird. Really, it’s in there somewhere.

No hander.

That random local again with some flowers.

The Deaner.

Big Kev lays it out onthe wall.

And then lays it out in the grass with Matt. Watch out for that tree next time….

The Deaner on the stepdown again.

As it started to rain, we went off to check out Vapour, which has no stunts.

I still managed to find a slick log and destroyed my shin. YUCK!

22 staples and a half dozen internal stitches courtesy of Kelowna General Hospital. I’m feeling much better now, and actually went trail building the next day.

Chocolate Feet – Day 6

Hey Deano, what time is it?

Time to, “Release the candy.”

I can’t really explain it. You’ll either have to meet the Deaner or go to England.

Gillard for a rematch today. We warmed up on the easy stuff, then went off for a run on Kerplop.

Someone was obviously really into Kerplop. You can guess who from the pics.

The candy was released all over the wood on this line.

Five guys on a log.

Hmmmmm.

some more stuff the Jedi bunch hasn’t seen. I guess I know where I’m taking them next year.

Today’s nature moment.

Here’s where the candy flow was stopped. This was too big even for the Deaner.

Matt was still pushing his limits though.

Chocolate Feet – Day 5

So very tired….

Gotta get up early to catch the morning, uh, toad.

Anyway, off to Arawana to carry our bikes over many fallen trees. At least there’s a few skinny things lying around to keep the crew stoked.

The Shimmerman was happy enough to jump over lots of stuff.

Rob (not Dan, just substitute Rob for Dan. I’m tired….gimme a break) got sucked in on a few.

A section of the trail was clearcut, but it’s short. Only about 3 minutes to hoof it across.

Everyone bow your heads. The Bug Height gap is dead….

At least we can still play with this thing.

Natural rock stepup anyone?

The boys get their road gap on.

Ivy League graduation time.

The water is dwon from where it was a month ago, but it’s still a challenge to cross the creek here.

A bit grey on the beach today too. Didn’t really feel like swimming.

So we went for another lap instead.

Deano sets the line off this drop.

So Princess followed suit.

Pretty flowers and ugly men.

Self captioned….

Deano, getting relaxed…

So we end today with the traditional sleeping in the back of the van shot.
