Ride Guide – Day 2

Day 2, and it’s time to go bigger.  Really.

Leroy and Trev came out again, and Casey Groves and Ryan Mckenna also tagged along to represent the Kelowna scene.

Casey needs a date.  See what he’s doing to that bar of his?

I don’t know if Boyko was impressed with Gillard (horrified would be a more appropriate word), but the Cory, our cameraman, seemed to think it was going well.

Ryan biffed this drop two years ago, and hasn’t hit it since.  It’s kind of a gnarly one to have a monkey on your back for.

Bye bye, monkey.

That seemed to get everyone stoked and relaxed.  They spent the rest of the day stylin’ out this wall/hip combo.

Too bad they were here this week.  The old Casino Royale got resurrected a few days after the Guide was here, but that’s another story…

Dynomite – Day 5

Did yesterday really happen?  Yes, it did.  Now get up and do it again.

That’s right….ride, eat, sleep, repeat.  Now we’re off to Gillard for some more.

As an added bonus, we checked out French Johnny’s latest work.  The boys have been out in force resurrecting old trails that have been out of action since before the big fire of 2003.

There’s also all the usual fave’s, like this one on Rub-Her-Down.

Oh, and the Boss Hog wall ride.

Lush…

We even managed a Kerplop, and the sun made an appearance or two.

I think the crew may be getting their fill.  We only managed a few runs today, and then we were beat.

Just as well, as we had a premiere of the latest Radical Films release, Revolve, to go check out.

There were a few hundred in attendance, and we made the keeners do pushups for prizes.

Not a bad turnout, considering it was the first day of Silverstar being open.

Later we went out for beers with Spuds.

He’s with stupid….

Team Banana Bread – Day 2

Schnepf!

Gesundheit. Ok, we crawled our way out of a bit of a hangover from yesterdays adventures and went over to Gillard again today. We thought we’d get Lindsay (whe’s new to the riding game) a bit of a confidence builder. Here she is sneering at our spotting attempts on a nice teeter.

Nic as usual was slaying everything in sight.

The rest of hte crew was loving all the old hits, including this one on Rubherdown.

Oh, time for some postcard shots….

For round two we cracked off a Kerplop session, and spent a bit of time up on the barbwire gap.

Several flat tires later, we were Kerplopping at the bottom.

Yes, that would be a rare image of yours truly flowing a new log ride.

George on the Boss Hog stepup.

Al on the Boss Hog rolldown.

Rinse and repeat on the curved wall.

As the thunderstorms raged in the distance, we finished with a swim at our new favourite beach. Wait….what’s that I see?

Yes! It’s the Ogopogo! Now I wonder if this counts as proof for the $2 million prize being offered?
