Shock Monkey SSC – Day 5

Last day on the Coast, and it’s… NOT RAINING!

Well, it rained a little bit in the morning, but overall it’s a pretty nice day out.  We’re already the wettest tour I’ve done, and it looks like this may continue in the Okanagan, but for now we’re going to enjoy our last day here.

Not a ton of pics to show you.  I spent most of the day with the GoPro camera, chasing the Monkeys down their favourite tracks.  Pressure Drop, the DH, and of course DMZ to Black Shower.

You’ll have to wait a bit, but I’ll edit the footie up for you to enjoy soon.

Oh, and we hooked up with some special guests today too.  Who is that rock star?  Looks like some kind of Radical Freak to me…

Dynomite – Day 5

Did yesterday really happen?  Yes, it did.  Now get up and do it again.

That’s right….ride, eat, sleep, repeat.  Now we’re off to Gillard for some more.

As an added bonus, we checked out French Johnny’s latest work.  The boys have been out in force resurrecting old trails that have been out of action since before the big fire of 2003.

There’s also all the usual fave’s, like this one on Rub-Her-Down.

Oh, and the Boss Hog wall ride.

Lush…

We even managed a Kerplop, and the sun made an appearance or two.

I think the crew may be getting their fill.  We only managed a few runs today, and then we were beat.

Just as well, as we had a premiere of the latest Radical Films release, Revolve, to go check out.

There were a few hundred in attendance, and we made the keeners do pushups for prizes.

Not a bad turnout, considering it was the first day of Silverstar being open.

Later we went out for beers with Spuds.

Going More Coastal

Yup, we’ve gone almost all the way now.  A ferry ride was involved, so that we could go and visit with our pals over on the “Sunshine Coast”.  Yeah, sunshine…..

It was a good chance for Joanna and Lanseer to check out Siobhan.  Does any kid these days have a traditional name?  I sure hope not, as they’re gonna feel really self-conscious about it.

We didn’t ride today, but we did go and check out the stuff that Stubz and Bjorn have been working on for the next Radical Films installment.

Curtis and a couple of Kyle’s were out there as well.  Curtis is hanging out on something known locally as “Boners In The Mist”.

That’s a Norbraaten there.  And one helluva big ‘X’.

Barb gives the producer a few tips on the shot.

We also took the Subie for a rip on this booter…
