Shock Monkey Okanagan – Day 2

Our man Gabe took a day off from his busy schedule to ride some more rain with us in Naramata.  Oh, and also to show us his dance moves.  He’s got some pretty hot party moves, that boy.

Don’t let that sunny bit there confuse you, it was wet again today.

Well, Okanagan wet, not coastal wet, but still…

…we made up for it in other ways.

That’s pretty green for a desert, eh?

AARRRRRGGGGHHHH!

Had to call it after two runs.  Gabe’s party moves were too much for us, we needed some drinks.

So we beelined it for a winery.

Yeah, we’re kind of a big deal.

So they fed us a half dozen sips of grape juice.

And some of us had a hard time with that.  I always thought that Aussies knew how to hold their liquor.  Hmph.

Trouble was a bruin, I tells ya.

Shock Monkey Okanagan – Day 1

Hope that drive didn’t tire you out.  We’ve got some scary stuff on tap for today.

Clearly the “Sunny” Okanagan is gong to be a lot like the “Sunshine” Coast.

Well, we really do need the rain, and it does make the trails pretty sweet, but I could really do with some hot and sunny days.

Maybe Simon is a Rain God or something.

Anyway, we had a nice inspection run on Builders to get the Monkeys up to speed.  As usual, Karen was dominating, but quietly.

For example, look at these next 3 shots.  Which one is Karen?

Yeah, sending it on the high side.  That’s our girl.

And here’s Gen, our other girl, on the big rolldown.

Classic shot of the boys sleeping while the girls are rarin’ for another round.

The wood luckily dried up for the afternoon laps on 2.5, so we could charge the wooden berms.

Well, I think I managed to scare them a little bit, but we’ll see how they do when we come back to these trails in a week.

Travel Day

The Coquihalla Time Warp.  If only we could actually go this fast…
