On Any Sunday…

Well, I’ve got a new bike to show off.    It’s taken a little extra time this year to get things together, but the first of two Rocky Mtn’s in the quiver is ready to rock.

Didn’t have much time today, so I went and bagged a small local peak for something to do.  Found a bunch of new singletrack under construction.  Should be nice for the fall.  In the meantime, there’s always this little nugget to go visit.

Super D and More…

The Kelowna Cycle Kamikaze Super D went off this weekend with cool weather and a bit of rain.  Perfect for this guy.

I didn’t do a whole lot other than drive this time.  It took a lot of runs to help with the 80 or so riders in this year’s event.

Winning time was about 17 minutes for Evan Guthrie, but the big news was Tyler getting the beat down from Sarah.

Full results over at Kelowna Cycle.  Maybe while you’re there you run into this random rocker in the parking lot.  Nice Crocs…

Afterwards, I hooked up with some random riders for some laps on Powers Creek, where the usual mayhem erupted.

Always a show in the Okanagan.

Penticton Trail Building

After some recent comments on the Smoke Room, I realized it’s high time someone went and did something about the sad state of affairs down on the Peat Bog.  So instead of trying to rally the troops I just strapped on the 100 lb pack and went down and buffed out the old Bog by myself.

It’s back to stock original if you’re around Penticton.  In the process, I ran into some old TOPSOG riders that were building some new eyesores near the bottom.  Here’s a shot of Troy on the old Emergency Exit log:

This would be the new Sundowner Drop they built.

If flat landings, blind exits, and ugly woodwork are your thing, welcome to the Old School!
