New Trail, and a New Bike

Finally got the new rig finished, although I don’t have an updated pic for you.  This one will have to do.

And since I’ve got a fresh ride, it only seems fitting that I check out a fresh trail.  Shane and Mike have been busy scratching in a new line up in the Bog.

It’s reasonably loamy and fun, but maybe a bit lacking in character so far.  I’m guessing that it will get bermed and jumped up a little over the next year or so.

Yeah, it was a bit foggy out.  I wasn’t satisfied with just 2 laps either, so I hooked up with Franz for another top to bottom on Code 4.  Ran into these guys on the retrieval.

On Any Sunday…

Well, I’ve got a new bike to show off.    It’s taken a little extra time this year to get things together, but the first of two Rocky Mtn’s in the quiver is ready to rock.

Slayer 70 in Peachland

Didn’t have much time today, so I went and bagged a small local peak for something to do.  Found a bunch of new singletrack under construction.  Should be nice for the fall.  In the meantime, there’s always this little nugget to go visit.

Freshie For Barb!

Well, sort of.  She’s ditched the old Foreplay for something a bit more useful all round, and a darn sight lighter.

…and I think a bit prettier too.

Thanks to Ian at Chromag for hooking up the sweet deal on the frame.   This XS Samurai is tight enough that for the first time ever we’re looking at putting a longer stem on one of Barb’s bikes.
