That’s What She Said…

I got a last minute call to help out with a free ladies mountain bike event put on by our good friends at the FVMBA in Mission.  Called "That’s What She Said", and also referred to as "It’s Not That Hard…", this was a free event for the ladies to come out and ride the trails out at Bear and Red mountains.

A solid 72 ladies showed up.  I helped coach and ran the shuttle all afternoon, and great time was had by most (although a certain sulky trail builder in the area did his best to represent the negative stereotype of certain women.  That guy was a bi–ch…).

Good thing that most folks are awesome, including Todd here who took me for a quick lap on Arduum, which is one of the gnarliest DH tracks I’ve ever seen.

It was a quick visit, and a long day, but worth it as always.

July 18th Shop Ride

Hit a bit of a wall this week.  What with lots of riding, the heat, and various jobs/chores/etc., I didn’t ride this weekend.

Did the youth ride on Tuesday, but didn’t take shots.  Hey…we had 12 guys and no flats!

Not so tonight.  Terry had his first before we even unloaded the bikes.

By the time we got to the bottom, it was 3 for Terry, two for Kurt, one for Karl, and Dave and I both finished with flats that we couldn’t be bothered to fix.

Yay Karma…

July 11th Shop Ride

It’s starting to get really hot.  I’m expecting to see some flat tires soon. Oh, there’s one.

Luckily the dust isn’t too bad yet

Ken is back, and while I can’t get how he rides in full armour and long sleeves in the summer, it’s good to see him.

Another good ride, as usual.  We’ll finish with old guys on the step-up.
