Another Devinci Demo Day

The first one was so good, we had to do another Devinci demo.

Actually, this was a chance to get on the new Spartan.  It kind of feels how this photo looks…

Will from the hill came out to see what the fuss was about, too.  Or more accurately, he got sucked into a gnarly ride in the heat.  Pretty good effort for the first ride of the year, I thought.

Round two and we went for a Beer Run.  It’s fun enough that Mitch even hit some stunts.

And Brad liked the new bike enough that he sent the road gap on it.

Always a good time when Mitch comes to town.  I just might have to grab one of these rigs for myself soon.

Silver Star Youth Ride

Yeah, we skipped the Tuesday evening session. I kind of wanted to rest before hitting the first bike park day of the year.

14 of us went out today.   Everyone finished the day in one piece, too (although a couple of them were shaken up a bit. Typical bike park day…).

As usual, no pics were taken.  You’re riding too hard to stop, and there’s these handy cameras around the hill anyway.

Dave and I did 15 laps.  Old guys on fire.

One More Thing…

Just a little bit of unfinished business to take care of in Nelson town before heading home.

I know you may find this hard to believe, but there exist people who live and work in this city that don’t ride the dirt.  Weird, eh?  In Vic’s defence, she didn’t grow up here.  However, working at Retallack means that your boss might force you to gt a bike and learn how to ride it.

She figured it out pretty quick.  Not without a full OTB, as evidenced by the epic dirt pattern on the tank top, but for a first ever ride it was a good one.

One more adventure to be had on the ride home.   I’ve been looking for this fossil on the side of the road since I heard about it a couple of years ago.  Well, there it is.  Damn near a meter long, too.  Nature…cool
