Wade Simmons Freeride Experience

That’s right, the Wade Simmons Freeride Experience is back. An all inclusive*, fully exclusive tour of the BC hinterland with the godfather of freeride, Wade Simmons.

After a lot of consultation and negotiation, the dates are finally set. This August, from the 19th to the 27th. There are only 8 seats available for this epic experience. The focus of the trip is riding. Every day, all day. We will be visiting several world class hot spots for off roading, including the legendary North Shore and Wade’s home town of Kamloops.

This will truly be an experience to remember. Wade’s gifts as an athlete go beyond his skill with the bike. As a long time riding partner, I can attest to the fact that Wade will inspire your riding to new heights of skill and creativity. No one will go away from this trip unaffected by it. You will be a new rider, and a better one because of it.

Of course, many of you will be thinking that you aren’t good enough to ride with The Man. Pffffft, that’s crazy talk. First of all, the fact that you are thinking that way is a sign that you are ready. Secondly, attitude is everything. If you are over 19, can handle 2-3 foot drop offs, are reasonably fit, and have an open attitude towards new experiences, then this trip is for you.

    Groundhog Day

Well, maybe a couple of days late. It was cloudy and rainy all week though, so I guess that means winter is supposed to be over.

    Yeah, right.

At any rate, the first tourist of the year rolled in today. The Deaner, from the “other” Deep Cove (the one on Vancouver Island), wanted to try the big stuff. In February.

Oh yeah, there was snow up there today. The first seasonal day in a month, and we’re riding the Circus, Jerry Rig, the starfish, and Boundary. What a day. I stunk the place out on a borrowed bike but Dean did pretty good…….

    ….for a 16 year old.

Classic shore day though. The top of the Expressway on the way to the Lobotomizer..

    Gettin’ ready to go….

    Lobotomized.

The Rig, and was slicccckkkkkkkk today.

    Sideshow.

    Lower Boundary.

I haven’t ridden Boundary or Starfish in I don’t know how long. I’ll be going back pretty soon too. Unreal how buffed out the trails on Fromme are. Even with torrential monsoon rains, the trails are as good as I’ve ever seen them.

…and a little DJ sesh to finish the day.

    Seymour shuttles tomorrow.

    First Ride of the Year

I should be skiing, but since skiing is sucking so badly I went riding instead. Had to borrow Barb’s Peeler as I sold my bike. Good thing I had a pink bike to ride.

Look who the cat dragged in.

    “Hi girls”

This scruffy dude here showed up too.

Not much to say. We rode Seymour stuff. Not much snow around, and everyone wore way too any clothes for the weather. Should have worn shorts.
