Goose Crew – 2

OK, yesterday was challenging, but it’s done.  Honestly, it was still super fun.  There’s lots of great riding to be had in the wet up here, but with so many fresh trails that much moisture just makes it extra challenging.  We rode 11k’ yesterday, and it felt like twice that.

Today looked like we were on a different planet.

As it was still pretty damp from all the rain, we went over to Idaho Peak to hit the Wakefield. It faces south, is a hundred years old and very well established, and drains much better anyway.

Definitely the right call to start our day, and it was even warm enough on the beach at the bottom that we could pretend it was still summer of a sort, too.

Many more runs ensued, but the pump track apres was still the best.

Crab cakes tonight, tomorrow we heli!

Goose Crew – 1

Yes, it’s time for the final Retallack trip of the year.  Goose has brought a new gang out, along with the old tickle trunk and whole bunch of other random mayhem.

I have no pics of the first day, mainly because the weather was obscenely dirty and also because I forgot to charge the camera.

Here’s a pic from last year which tells part of the story.

Pics of the rest of the story, which may or may not involve me wearing a Tuck Tape mankini and some teabagging, will surface uncomfortably at some unforseeable point in the future.
