TreeLines

Alright, I’ve been offline for a while, so let’s pick up where we left off…

It would seem that the weather in the mountains has taken a change.

A bunch of guys from Tree Lines and Freehub Magazine have shown up to finish off the trail from Reco Peak.  First, we have to do a little shredding.

The Kessel Run was running fast with the fresh rain, and it even cleared up a bit for some session time on the machine built sections.

It was a bit greasy though, as the dust that got spread around everywhere during the dry spell turned to goo with the precipitation.  We jumped in the van for a quick lap on Sundowner and Choices, and made the move for a Wakefield.  I haven’t had a chance to shred the other side of Idaho Peak in a while, so this was a nice little treat.

Yeah, t-shirt weather…

The Wakefield is another old school trail, so you know…my sorta pace.

The young’ns tried to keep up the new school pace and paid the price.  Kelend managed to put SIX holes in his tire here (I finally patched it, and it’s now in the rear tire of a Giant Reign demo bike).

OK, so it’s not quite the usual sunny beach I’ve gotten used to, but it’s still awfully nice.

Bonus!  We saw a moose on our way back to the lodge.

Well, I’m pretty stoked to have these guys in the house.  I have to go home for Chevy’s birthday, then take care of the Hoff Fest crew for a bit, but the boys here should have the trail to Reco done this week.  Four years in the making…time to make a little history.
