1st Youth Ride

A bit late on starting the youth rides this year, but hey…I’ve been busy.  Still got a few dudes out for it.

Took it pretty easy for our first ride of the year, but it was no problem for the boys.  All of them were with us last year, so this stuff is no sweat.

Big Mig shooting the Redemption stepup with style.

Park tires on dust don’t really give you the same sort of feel as the big bike, though.

Oh, and an old guy too.

As usual, sunset around here sucks.

Yet Another Epic Sunset Session

In case you’re wondering…the answer is "No, I don’t get bored of doing this."

Shredding awesome singletrack at sunset just never gets old.

Neither does this awesome hip at the bottom.

That last one of Jens is pretty sick for a guy that just started riding last year.

We’ll do this again sometime this week.

Carbon Carnage

Another Thursday, another hammerfest in the Mice.  Dave, you’re facing the wrong way…

Oops. Yes, that’s a carbon rim.  Karl’s carbon rim to be exact.  May it rest in pieces.

So, there may or may not have been some shenanigans that led to this.  I was in front, and there’s a particular corner on Eagle that I’ve missed a few rides in a row now.  I managed to remember it in time, but at the pace we were riding tonight (translation: terrifying) it didn’t matter much.  Since I’ve missed that turn multiple times, I don’t exactly know the line yet.  I blew off a small drop and kind of nose bonked a hole with a gnarly sharp rock.  Karl saw me freak out a bit, and pulled out to the right.  Right into this…

Game over, man.  Well, he had a nice walk down Arawana Rd.

We, on the other hand, had a lovely ride under the setting sun.

After riding Rainbow North, Sidewinder, Tripod, Marmot, Rusty Muffler, Eagle, Raven, Mule Deer, Ponderosa, and Black Bear, we went for a little rip on Southern Dancer.

Yes, that’s all in one descent.  As Kurt would say… "This place sucks…"

I leave you with a couple more typical sunset snaps of the boys.
