Ski Season…Done

Everyone seems to have decided that this year was a bust for skiing.

Well, I guess it started a bit slow.

Admittedly, there was a bit of a drought mid-season where it didn’t snow much at all.  I found something fun to do.

There was also enough sporadic snowfall to keep things freshened up enough to keep me from total boredom.

Also, the competitive side of the sport reveled in the conditions.

It seemed like a province wide phenomenon, as I found on some road tripping to Revelstoke…

..and also in Retallack.

Thus I finished the season off not with a whimper, but with a bang.  Like always.  Also, Tippie.

That was awesome, but there’s now a good 7 months or so of biking to get ready for.

More…Pow!

Yup, that’s first chair.  Consider this:

  1. Spring Break
  2. Blue sky (well, at least 1st thing this morning anyway).
  3. 20 cms overnight

Only a dozen people in line this morning.  Go figure.

I had to work, so I only managed a couple of early laps on my own time, but I did get out for some afternoon runs with the “big kids.”

Jesse and Reece are brothers, 10 and 12 respectively.  They seem to be going places…

More Powder Racers

We’re trying to teach these kids to race slalom.

Powder is sort of the same thing, right?

Well, it’s been snowing every day for a couple of weeks, I guess we’ll just have to make do.

Yes, I agree.  It IS good to be here.

Especially if you’re Luke and you just won a snowboard.

Maybe not so much if you’re in the audience and Portman is busting out a harp solo.

Well, they DID turn his mike off after the first 20 seconds, so I guess it’s still good to be here.
