Silverstar Rock Stars

Romo, Super T, Schnepf, Willows, Eamonn, Hansen, Tippie, what’s going on?  Oh, NSMB.com is choosing their new team rider.  Get this traffic outta my way, I’ve only get  few hours to get laps in at Silverstar before I have to babysit.  Barb went back to work this weekend (everyone say, “Awwwwwwwwwwwwww!”).

I also ran into our pal Gustav from the Puddle. I hear that all the wallrides up there are left handers.

Which explains this.

Look deep inside the mind of Brett Tippie…

Do I hear crickets?

Anyway, the Airprentice didn’t wrap before I had to head out.  They were down to four at this point, and Cam was obviously highly conflicted about the choice to be made…

Shreddin’ With Brettro

Can you believe it?  I missed riding Sun Peaks yesterday.  It’s not like I partied that hard, but we were feeling kinda laid back.

Couldn’t do that today.  Even though it was seriously cold this morning (-32C at the top), we were out early.

Seems like everyone else was too.  The lineups at the bottom were HUGE.  But when we got up to the top…..nobody was around.  I guess they just want to sit on the high speed lifts.  Who cares if there’s lots of pow to shred.

Granted, it was a bit cold up there, but so worth it.

Tippie and his ca. 1993 Rossi race deck.  Now you know why we call him ‘Brettro’.

Well, that and also cause he’s old.

A self portrait at sunset.

And the sunset itself.  Just hitting the summit for the last run at nearly 5PM, and it’s a long run down.  It was nearly dark by the time we finished.  Good thng Brett is so charming, or we’d have been in a lot more trouble with the ladies.

The Happiest Place on Earth – Pt. 2

Yeah, it’s too much for just one post, so I split it.  Anyway, back to our story.  As you recall, I’d eaten a lunch that had some dubious looking lettuce on it, but food is food….right?

Things were fine at this point, as Wade showed us the proper technique.

Everyone took the advice to heart, and a mad session ensued.

Pic o’ the day….

Somewhere around here I was siezed by some chills, and felt the urge to barf, which I manfully (stupidly?) repressed.

OK, no pics for a bit. I was definitely poisoned.  Somehow, I manged to throw up FIVE times, and interstingly only the lettuce came out.  So now Ihave to live with the fact the Tippie out climbed me.  Oh the humiliation…..

Meh…whatever.  By Awesome Rock I was feeling a little bit better.

Pics never do this one justice.  Arthur is on an 85 degree slope there.

And now the standard scenic shots from the last viewpoint.

Yes Burton, I agree.

Simmons, quit posing.

You too, Brett.

A big ride and a big beer.  two great tastes that go great together.

Another one in the books.  Not sure about the random psycho who came by and stomped ona  bunch of beers, then peeled out giving us the finger, but it added some spice to the day.

Oh, and by the way, Brett doesn’t need to stick his dick in a jar of peanut butter.  The end result is already there.
