Retallack Ladies – 3

Get your AllRides on, it’s Heli day!

This one took a while, as we tried breaking down bikes and putting them in the ski basket and the cheeks rather than long lining.  It saves $$, but really slows the program down at the top.

No worries, it got the girls on their A game.  Here’s Christine, with bum shot of the day, dropping in on a tailings pile.

Heather did too, and this was a huge breakthrough for her.  I doubt she ever thought she’d do something like this (and it is pretty steep in real life.  Pics never do it justice).

Always a good time in Bear’s Den.

Another loyal retallackEmployee, Kia get’s shot of the day.

And Karen gets the runner up.  Although she may have gotten top honours if she’d remembered to bring me some cookies (Karen is a notoriously good baker).

Another side shot in the old growth of Blancher.

Good times, yet again.  I don’t think I’m ready to head home yet, though.  I should probably get another day in before I hit the road.

Retallack Ladies 2

Chocolate croissant?

Yes, the day 2 shenanigans started bright and early at the lodge today. Christine and her sexy legs are the result.  Those aren’t bruises, they’re souvenirs.

It was a slightly gloomy day on Idaho Peak, but that made for excellent trail conditions.

Steep and slick it may have been, but the ladies were killin’ it all day out there.

After another session in the park, a finishing lap on the Kessel right to the beach in front of the lodge was the call.

Can you feel the heat?

Retallack Ladies

*sigh*

I guess the season is getting on.  It seems like only seconds ago it was May, and here we are on the Retallack Women’s Weekend already.

Well, at least I get to hang out with Lindsey, Lorraine, and all the rest!

The first day was much like most camps, with some yoga, some getting to know each other, and a parking lot session.  After lunch, it was time to hit the Kessel Run…

Unlike many other camps I’ve been at lately, this one was downright dirty.

Heather, you wear that look well.

Can’t keep the sun away for long, though.  It kept coming back to dry out the AllRide socks.

The on again/off again precipitation made for some legendary conditions.  Not that the Kessel has ever been much less than legendary every time I’ve hit it.

Christine, do you ever stop smiling?

Here’s another banger from one of the token males of the weekend.  Kootenay boy Kinrade, gettin it done.

Yeah, dude. You should look scared…

And now for one of my favourite parts of the Retallack experience…gourmet meals washed down with local BC red.

The ladies must have been feeling the day, because they were nowhere to be seen later in the evening.  Maybe that’s why everyone was geeking out on their phones.

Except for Buehler….  Stay classy, Retallack.
